A word on the object :

Kettle 9091 was Alessi's first “author's kettle”. To avoid the classic whistle of kettles, a source of anxiety, Sapper included in the 9091 a melodic whistle, made of brass and composed of two small tubes in which he introduced choristers who play the notes E and B. Stemming from childhood memories of Sapper who remembered the sounds of boats crossing the Rhine, the two choristers produce a short, pleasant melody. This kettle is a polysensory object, which will not interrupt a pause of pleasure with a whistle but with a soft melody.
