About the product :
The “870” shaker is one of the first Alessi projects assigned to outside designers, Carlo Mazzeri & Luigi Massoni. Today this object is found in almost every bar in the world. Over a million have been sold and it's one of the best selling pieces in the bar range.

About the designer :
Both starting their career in the 1950's, Luigi Massoni and Carlo Mazzeri worked together on the 870 shaker, that became upon release a bar's classic. Later, Massoni continued his career in design by joining Boffi as a production coordinator and designer, creating some of the first ever modular systems for the home and kitchen. Mazzeri used its architecture background to open its architecture and town planning agency.
