Elliott Cohen, private chef, will accompany you during an evening that will take up the basics of cooking. A teacher at heart, his dynamic approach, always focused on the basics of the recipe, will give you a taste of French cuisine.

Elliott attended the New England Culinary Institute in 1994 then completed his internship at the 5-Star Inn at Spanish Bay Resort in Pebble Beach, California. He pursued additional studies at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone, Napa Valley, California then worked in a variety of Foodservice operations. These included restaurant, catering, private homes and as a Chef/Buyer for Whole Foods Market in Monterey, California. In 2002 he returned to Montreal and worked on several motion pictures cooking for Robert De Niro, Martin Scorsese, and Leonardo DiCaprio. He has taught over 300 classes including clients such as Deloitte, Groupe Dynamite, Provigo, McGill University Health Center, Adidas, and The Moment Factory. Elliott’s passion for cooking and teaching is reflected in the quality of his food and his simplistic, dynamic approach to teaching, always focusing on the basics and what’s behind the recipe.


Elliott Cohen is a teacher at heart. His dynamic approach focuses on the fundamentals of the recipe. During this Gourmet Moment, Elliott Cohen will take you to France to understand the basics of French cuisine.

This experience is given in English. The translation of some terms and greedy steps of the experience can be translated if needed.

  • From 6:30 pm to 9:30pm
  • Meals in 3 to 5 courses depending on the theme

  • Full refund up to 14 days before the course or workshop date;
  • Refund in the form of a credit note between 3 and 13 days before the course or workshop date;
  • No refunds for cancellations made 3 days or less before the course or workshop date.
