After the chef's knife, the paring knife is the second most important knife to have in your kitchen. This small, versatile knife has a narrow, smooth blade that tapers to a point, making it easy to handle for trimming, slicing, and peeling.

As an all-purpose knife you absolutely need, the Wusthof 9cm paring knife is the perfect tool for small cutting tasks, but it's also ideal for peeling and chopping vegetables and fruit.

The Classic range has been Wusthof's best-selling collection for generations. The knives are precision-forged from a single piece of exclusive high-carbon stainless steel.

Technical Specifications:

  • Full tang (blade)
  • Forged steel blade
  • Blade alloy: 58 on the Rockwell scale (HRc), a medium-hard steel
  • Polypropylene handle riveted in 3 places

Maintenance:

  • It is very important to maintain your knife frequently (at least 1 to 2 times a week, or even daily) with a honing steel (or rat-tail) made of a metal of the same hardness as your knife (contact us for more information).
  • Alternatively, a two-stage sharpener is a practical tool that requires no special technique.
The important thing is to use one or the other, but always use one. Otherwise, you will notice a decrease in the sharpness of your knife and you will be exposed to an increased risk of injury.
  • Dishwasher washing is strongly discouraged, as it dulls the knife's edge (the cutting part of the knife); therefore, hand washing is recommended.

  • Made in Solingen, Germany
  • Warranty: Lifetime
