Chef Dominic Tremblay is passionate about food! His passion for gastronomy is undeniable and is part of his life, he loves to share his knowledge.
Here is a little history of his unusual journey…
Dominic traveled to Montreal 3 times for the Canadian show "MasterChef Canada" to present his dishes in the final interview. More than 400 people tasted his dishes as he prepared for the auditions. Although he finished in the top 30 in Quebec every time, the adventure did not go further. This did not prevent him from continuing to receive and go to people's homes as a chef at home for several years to make them experience unique gastronomic evenings. He also participated in the Quebec programs "Je suis Chef", which he won , he was a finalist in "Better than the Chef" and he was the big winner of an "Un Souper Almost Perfect".
He already has several trips around the world to his credit and he has always taken the opportunity to ask questions about local gastronomy and taste typical dishes. He had the chance to meet different chefs and multiply internships alongside them, whether in French or bistro cuisine.
In December 2015, he opened a specialized catering service in Quebec City, and he introduced people to a different way of eating healthy prepared meals.
He was executive chef of the Restaurant Le French Touch on an island of Belize in the Caribbean for nearly a year and was able to be the restaurant of the place (First out of 178 restaurants on Trip Advisor).
A project to build his own Le D Bistro restaurant in the Caribbean was on the table and underway, but the arrival of covid changed plans.
Dominic is a multi-talented chef. All his culinary experience of more than 15 years, he acquired it by himself, by practicing, by reading specialized books, by following specialized private lessons and by receiving friends to perfect his knowledge. He took control of 3 restaurants as guest chef during themed evenings. His thirst for learning has no limit. He is always on the lookout for the latest techniques or new flavors and presentation!
This experience is given in French. The translation of some terms and greedy steps of the experience can be translated if needed.
